From the Black Forest out into the world
Here at our Triberg and Elzach sites in the Black Forest – one of the Germany’s most scenic regions – we manufacture more than 1,000,000 components with a diameter of up to 65 mm every day. We process non-ferrous metals such as brass and aluminium, as well as general purpose steel, stainless steels and special alloys.
Thanks to our more than 200 longstanding and highly qualified employees, we are able to offer a wide range of services – from development to production, set-up, surface treatment and logistics. Our products are used wherever precision, innovation, cost-effectiveness and the reliable realisation of large series are required. Whether sanitary fittings, heating thermostats, plug-in couplings, control units, hydraulic units or oil pumps: we offer impressive high-precision solutions in particular for the sanitary, building services, automotive and electrical engineering sectors.

Responsibility is also reflected in our high level of environmental awareness – something that has always come naturally to us as a tradition-steeped company situated in the heart of the Southern Black Forest Nature Park. Rather than focusing on extreme growth, Tränkle seeks to maintain continuity and sustainability.
This is why environmental compatibility is a key factor when it comes to selecting our suppliers and developing our products. In our manufacturing processes we utilise the very latest technologies to reduce energy consumption and conserve resources. Our high-performance photovoltaic system with almost 500 kWp and our carbon-neutral heating system already enable us to save enormous quantities of CO2. Our long-term goal is a production process that is completely carbon-neutral.
It has long been standard for Tränkle to fulfil industry and country-specific environmental guidelines and ensure REACH and RoHS compliance for the materials we use, likewise the use of lead-free or low-lead materials.

History

Historical highlights
Precision starts in the mind: when Anton Tränkle first founded his enterprise in 1889, he focussed on precision right from the start – and it remains the trademark of Tränkle Turning Technology to this day. Driven by enormous dedication, pioneering spirit and an inquiring, technologically oriented mind, he created a company for the production of turned parts.
Genuine teamwork
Tränkle’s son Hermann joined the business after the First World War, his business skills perfectly complementing his father’s technical expertise. Together they led the expanding company through the inflationary years of 1920s and the subsequent global economic crisis. Their main product at that time was bicycle valves, later to be replaced by high-quality ball bearings in the mid-1930s.
Difficult years
In 1945, Tränkle suffered the same fate as many other companies in Germany: all its machinery was dismantled. Just as father and son were trying to make a new start with second-hand machines in the spring of 1946, company founder Anton Tränkle passed away.
Giving up was not an option
A man with a similar pioneering spirit to that of his father, Hermann Tränkle set about rebuilding the company. In doing so, he opted to re-align the production programme – a pivotal decision that has remained effective to this day: the company went on to specialise in high-quality precision turned parts for almost all sectors of industry.
From the Black Forest and out into the world
Gerhard Tränkle joined the company in 1968: he took care of expanding business operations on an ongoing basis. The production site in Elzach was established in 1977, adding a whole new dimension to the production of turned parts. To this day, it remains one of the most efficient, cutting-edge production plants in the world. It is thanks to Gerhard Tränkle that the Tränkle brand has become internationally synonymous with dependability, quality and service.

Björn Anton Tränkle joined the company in 2008, taking over full responsibility in 2013. Now in its fourth generation, Tränkle Turning Technology is your competent partner for the development and production of high-quality precision turned parts, valves and turned part-based assemblies.
